"Foxtrot" and talented school children - for safety on the road

All-Ukrainian creative competition of school children gathered the winners, and the organizers - the National Police Ukraine and partners congratulated the young helpers 

On May 12, the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine hosted the awarding of the winners of the all-Ukrainian creative competition for schoolchildren "The Young Generation - for Road Safety". Throughout the year, children, through creativity, talked about safety and in their drawings, posters, hand-made articles, photos called on peers to be disciplined road users. 


After the selection of district, city and regional stages of the contest, 200 best works were presented in Kiev at the exhibition, and 30 children-laureates of the contest rose to the stage and personally received awards from the National Police of Ukraine and partners. 


- Impressive statistics should put everyone "under arms": in Ukraine, the highest mortality rate in road accidents among European countries, road accidents is the first cause of death among young people aged 15 to 24 and the second among children aged 5 to 14 years . The works of creative schoolchildren, presented at the exhibition of the laureates of the contest "Young generation - for road safety", struck with sincerity and skill. So, in the nomination "Authors from 5 to 9 years" the first place was divided among themselves by a young girl from Kiev - Sandra and a small boy from Lviv - Demian. Eight-year-old Sandra Shevchenko, a student of School No. 1 in Kiev, created a table exhibition "Movement in the Cube". A six-year-old Demian - a pupil of a kindergarten № 168 from Lviv - a book-hand-crafted "ABC of safe movement for kids." Impressive were the work of young people - the girl of Kiev, Diana Danchuk, "Road safety in your hands" from Lopatinskaya SOSH of the Lviv region, Elizaveta Penzarskaya from Kiev with the "bloody" puzzle road and the drawing of Igor Ivanov from Kharkov "The road is not for selfie". 


During the speech at the awards ceremony, Alevtina Beletskaya appealed to all schoolchildren participating in the holiday with a request to transfer to the school and preschool collectives a disk with the cartoon about safety: "Let the stories about the adventures of the characters of Fox and Trot look as many schoolchildren as possible, and life will be comfortable and safe !! "

More than two dozen cities of Ukraine visited such lessons. Thousands of disks with a cartoon and instructive postcards were transferred to schools and kindergartens of the country to teach children safety rules.
