"Foxtrot" and "Green Institute" - doing good with us here!
On March 29, 2017, the volunteers of the student movement "Green Institute" (Institute of Journalism of Kyiv National University of Taras Shevchenko, 1st and 2nd year of Advertising and PR department ) with the support of the Foxtrot Group of Companies visited the Social Rehabilitation Center "The Ark", which is located in Pushcha Voditsa near Kiev. The action was timed to coincide with the 7th anniversary of the green charitable project "Green Institute" (partner of the corporate program "Green Office" in the GCF) and the 70th anniversary of journalism education in Ukraine. The students took the presents to children, which they bought for the proceeds from the waste paper at the end of last year.
Background of the visit of the "Green Institute" pupils "Ark" is this: on November 25, a green campaign was held to collect paper for recycling at the Institute of Journalism of Kyiv National University of Taras Shevchenko. The purpose of the action is the popularization among peers of the idea of paper proper recycling for the preservation of the environment and the collection of funds to help children in the Center for Social Rehabilitation "The Ark". Students and teachers of the Institute of Journalism KNU named after T. Shevchenko collected more than 300 kg of waste paper and for the money, they could buy headphones for children, such necessary for the educational process.
The action was supported by the employees of "FOXTROT" Group of Companies, long-standing partners of the "Green Institute", who strengthened the gift fund with their contribution and gave sweets and computers to the Center for Social Rehabilitation for productive education of children.
On the day of the trip in the «Ark», the famous "Foxtrot" Kopiyachuzhka, a puppet doll, which brought great mood and entertainment as gifts, joined the students of IJ.
