On September 5, omnichannel electronics retailer Foxtrot joined the savED International Charitable Foundation initiative, which restores access to education in war-torn communities
On the occasion of the beginning of the new school year, a video – a manifesto from savED, calling for support for teenagers, because they are our future and will rebuild our country – was played in the sales halls of all 122 stores. The purpose of the video is to draw society's attention to the need to support children and provide them with educational opportunities. Especially where the war left its mark, destroying schools and other spaces for learning and socialization
Alyona and Nazar from Katyuzhanka in Kyiv region, Ivan from Mykhailo-Kotsyubynskyi in Chernihiv region, Olesya from Yelanets and Sashko from Tsentralny in Mykolaiv region — these five teenagers became the heroes of the video manifesto by savED. They are participants of the UActive program of the savED foundation.
"One day these teenagers will become adults and will build our country. They will replace us and be better than us – but all this is impossible without the help and support of adults. And therefore they should be supported, helped, even if they are wrong. "Help us not to be cut off!", children appeal to adults in the manifesto.
During the week starting September 5, Foxtrot customers can watch the video on more than 5,500 TVs in the retailer's stores.
– We supported the initiative of the fund, because it is about the future of Ukraine, and this is no less important than the fight against the enemy for its future against the occupiers, – says Lesya Nikulina, head of Foxtrot's trade marketing department. – Even the heavy traffic of video content on our plasmas did not stand in the way of the implementation of this initiative. We are happy to show our customers an ideologically valuable video.
"We combined two generations in this video to show that adult support for young people is important. We work with representatives of the future of Ukraine, intelligent, caring and creative. At the UActive program, these teenagers invent and implement projects for the development of their communities. We teach them to dream wildly, so in order to realize these ideas, the children practice fundraising. Today it is sports fields, co-working spaces in schools, school theaters, eco-projects and STEM laboratories, and tomorrow it will be the reconstruction of the country, – says the leader of the UActive program at the savED foundation Khrystyna Kashchuk.
The video manifesto was also supported by the Planeta Kino chain of cinemas, as well as several dozen famous people and influencers, including Nastya Kamenskikh and Oleksandr Pedan, on their pages.
Reference. Foxtrot is one of the largest electronics chains in Ukraine, in 2024 it celebrates 30 years of work in Ukraine. During this time, Foxtrot was the initiator of the social initiatives to support schoolchildren and teenagers: the social project of adaptation of boarding school graduates "Big Heart of Little Life", the ecological project "Eco-class", the system of Safety Lessons for the prevention of non-productive injuries among schoolchildren "Safety School" and the cartoon series about safe behavior for school children "Fox and Trot rush to the rescue".
savED is an international charitable foundation that restores access to education in communities affected by the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine. In 2023, the foundation's team, together with the American non-governmental organization Spirit of America, launched the UActive educational program for teenagers from small communities. During the year and a half of operation, the program spread to three oblasts: Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Mykolaiv, and among its graduates are about 500 teenagers from small communities. Schoolchildren have already been able to implement 23 socially important projects, which attracted more than $200,000 in additional investment.
