UAH 43.5 million for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and support for the economy: three years of full-scale war in numbers from Foxtrot
By the third anniversary of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Foxtrot's electronics and household appliances network summed up its work
From February 24, 2022, the company chose a development strategy for itself: to continue working, support the economy, organize processes inherent in peacetime, taking into account the security component of wartime, and help the defenders of Ukraine.
During this time, Foxtrot:
- paid UAH 1.9 billion in taxes, of which almost 1 billion was for 2024.
- opened new stores and renovated existing ones (including after enemy missile attacks), paying attention to accessibility and inclusivity. Thus, if as of March 2022 the company had 90 stores, then by the beginning of 2025 the chain will have 124 retail outlets in 66 cities, including Kherson, Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.
- is developing the Foxtrot.ua online store, which showed a 42% increase in turnover over the past year, and a mobile application, the number of downloads of which increased 2.5 times.
- Foxtrot was the first in the electronics market to launch a service for serving deaf people in sign language, which operates in 30 stores on Foxtrot.ua and continues to scale. In addition, as part of the development of barrier-free access, work has begun on adapting the retail space in stores.
The retailer’s most significant social initiative is systemic direct assistance to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Currently, the total amount of equipment transferred to the defenders from Foxtrot is over UAH 43.5 million, and this is 8,882 units of equipment issued. The main driver in this is the corporate volunteer movement of Foxtrot employees, who are activists of the "The help our’s” headquarters, and the company’s financial efforts are strengthened by the involvement of employees in providing assistance.
The company pays special attention to supporting fellow soldiers from #Foxtrotcompany and air defense forces of all branches of the armed forces. Thus, following the results of the “Birds of Retribution” charity campaign in 2023, together with corporate volunteers and customers, the company purchased 3 Mavic 3T drones for the aerial reconnaissance unit of the 80th ODShB Foxtrot. The project was initiated by employees in memory of a deceased colleague – Oleg Markovych, director of the Lviv store and founder of the unit. During 2024 – early 2025, the company developed the project and transferred more than 100 FPV drones for sponsored aerial reconnaissance units and 3 more military units for UAH 1.5 million.
Among the retailer's other leading initiatives is "Throw a hryvnia – teach a soldier": Foxtrot, together with the NGO "Aerorozvidka", collected almost UAH 700,000 for training military skills in working with IT tools. To support children affected by Russian aggression, the "Give a Chance of Good" campaign is underway. The brand also helps four-legged friends within the framework of the project “F-support for indomitable animals”, thanks to which food, medicine, and kennels for residents of 63 shelters were purchased for UAH 2 million.
“Foxtrot continues to develop, maintaining high quality of service and supporting socially important initiatives. Helping the army, supporting employee defenders, contributing to social projects and mutual assistance within the company are part of our corporate code,” concluded Oleksiy Zozulya.
Foxtrot is one of the largest omnichannel retail chains in Ukraine in terms of the number of stores and sales volumes of electronics and household appliances. The company systematically implements changes aimed at ensuring accessibility, improving customer experience and corporate policy. It pays great attention to the reintegration of veterans, having developed a special program for the adaptation of defenders in civilian life. In 2024, the company was recognized as “Veteran-Friendly” by Veteran Hub.
During 2024, Foxtrot was noted in leading ratings: 30 largest sellers in the online world (according to Forbes Ukraine), 50 best employers (NV), TOP-50 largest investors in Ukraine (NV), TOP taxpayers 2024 (Delo.ua), 303 business captains, 202 largest private companies in Ukraine, 30 digitalization champions (Forbes).
