Foxtrot group of companies writers’ pool was enriched by Olexiy’s Gerashchenko fairytale “Catonomy or How cats builded the economy”

On 9th October 2020, the presentation of economic fairytale “Catonomy or How cats builded the economy” was held. The story was written by Oleksiy Gerashchenko, Foxtrot group of companies cofounders’ financial counselor

For the first time, “Catonomy” was presented two days earlier in Zhytomyr, where Oleksiy was born. The second presentation of the book took place in Kyiv around Oleksiy’s colleagues. Presentation was held in a friendly, almost family atmosphere. At the same time, they followed all quarantine situation requirements.


Oleksiy Gerashchenko is a famous ukrainian economist, Kyiv Mohyla business school professor, financial top manager and economic bestseller “Economy XXI” author. He was up to tell the economy theory in the format of fairytale a year ago.

Author has 3 children. Once Oleksiy Gerashchenko looked into his daughter's student book for “Basis of consumer’s knowledge”, was horrified and wrote his own version of economic theory. Later, his middle son Bohdan became the first reviewer of an economic book for the children. 


Oleksiy presented the tale about the cats, who builded their own country, in a format of dynamic story. The main characters picked a fight with people, so they ought to make their own work separation, money, banks, credits, taxes, budget and business. Also they calculated the income, were in danger, planned and faced the troubles, looked for common interests and argued, competed and worked together.
