"Leader of systemic ecological transformation": Gennadii Vykhodtsev and partners’ environmental investment project was recognized in the industry rating

At the end of 2021, the Soling 3 solar power plant, which is part of the energy generating division of Solar Generation, received the title of "Leader of systemic eco-transformation" from the Professional Association of Ecologists of Ukraine and the national magazine "Ecobusiness". The director of the company, Stanislav Ignatiev, got the industry-specific Eco-Oscar award. The awarding took place within the All-Ukrainian Forum "Leadership and Eco-Transformation – 2021", which took place in Kyiv on December 16

Solar Generation is an investment project of the co-founders of the Foxtrot Group of Companies Gennadii Vykhodtsev, Valery Makovetsky and Gennady Moldavsky. Businessmen who already have a successful experience in diversifying sources of income – the national brand Foxtrot and the DEPOT brand (a chain of shopping and entertainment centers in 6 cities of Ukraine), have been intensively investing in national green energy since 2019 through projects of the Solar Generation company.

– On December 22, Ukraine celebrates the Engineer's Day – a professional holiday of people, without whom no industry sector, no functioning of infrastructure, as well as the usual life of a modern person is possible, – says Gennadii Vykhodtsev, the chairperson of the Board of Founders of the Foxtrot Group of Companies. – Through the Solar Generation project, we also joined the development of the green energy industry in Ukraine. In addition to commercial interests, this has become our contribution to the country's energy independence and the realization of our own environmental values.

Now the power generating division of Solar Generation consists of three solar power plants – Soling 1, Soling 2, which are located in the Mykolaiv region, and Soling 3 (later on Ecotechnik-Tarasovka), which is located in the Chernivtsi region, in the Tarasovtsi village. Ekotekhnik-Tarasovka was built on swampy land unsuitable for agricultural cultivation. The production capacity of this power plant allows us to call it the largest in Western Ukraine, the fifth largest in Ukraine, and the tenth largest in Europe. The station provides clean and environmentally friendly electricity to a significant part of the Chernivtsi region.

– So far, Ecotechnik-Tarasovtsi enterprise has produced 150 gigawatt-hours. At the same time, 150 kilotons of CO-2 emissions were not emitted into the atmosphere, which would ended up there if this energy had been produced by thermal power plants, – noted the importance of green energy Stanislav Ignatiev, Director of Solar Generation. – And the electricity already produced in Tarasovtsi provided energy for about 150 thousand households.

Now the company "Ecotechnik-Tarasovtss" is a partner of the Vanchikovets community. Common infrastructure projects are being implemented. In particular, the problematic section of the road in the Tarasovka village has been paved with asphalt, material and technical assistance is being provided to the local school and the House of Culture. Another result of the friendship between Ecotechnik-Tarasovtsy and the local community was the organization of a study visit of local activists to the friendly Yabloni community in the Republic of Poland, and a joint development strategy for the Vanchikovets community. This collaboration is an example of how businesses and local communities become partners to jointly improve everyone’s quality of life.
