Solar power plants are a chance toabandoning Russia's energy sector

The enterprises of solar energy in the Nikolaev area in which founders of "FOKSTROT" Grour of company were founded by felt war. Stanislav Ignatiev, CEO of Solar Generation, head of Counsel of Ukrainian Association of renewable energy

"According to various heads of companies in the solar energy industry, the solar generation of Ukraine is suffering huge losses from the Russian occupiers," says Stanislav. – The industrial solar power plants located in the Nikolaev power node suffered the most. GFP investors also suffered losses, as investments were made in the development of three solar power plants: two of them – Soling 1 and Soling 2 – operate in Mykolayiv Oblast, and Soling 3 in Chernivtsi Oblast.

Solar Generation's solar fleet (22 MW) came under fire from artillery weapons, and a week later from a helicopter. There was a projectile on the territory that detonated after repeated shelling.

Besides, inclusion of objects in generation is impossible because of destruction of 5,5 km of the power line of 150 kV feeding the city of Nikolaev.

Statistics on the location of private solar power plants and its imposition on the sites of shelling of settlements in Ukraine show that it is estimated that about 280 MW (24%) of the installed capacity was destroyed.

Stanislav Ignatiev emphasizes that the following low-cost steps of the state are effective for further development of the industry aimed at giving up Russian gas: to provide destroyed and damaged green energy facilities access to the new Fund for Rebuilding Ukraine's War-Destroyed Energy Infrastructure. community, to ensure tax holidays and the absence for 5 years of rent and land tax for the construction of new solar and wind power plants, etc. Read more here
