Foxtrot has connected a service for visitors with hearing impairment
The retailer became the first chain of electronics and household appliances in Ukraine, which introduces modern methods of communication with customers, for whom the only language of communication is sign language
Since the beginning of June, a set of specialized license solutions – Connect PRO, Connect Web and Connect QR – have been connected to call an online sign language interpreter in a number of chain stores and on the Foxtrot.ua website to provide high-quality and comfortable service to visitors with hearing impairments. From now on, deaf visitors will be able to receive professional advice in a way that is understandable for them, ask additional questions about the selected product and make a comfortable purchase without communication and psychological barriers.
The Barrier-free Foxtrot project is implemented within the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska "Without barriers" with the aim of strengthening the principles of barrier-freeness as part of the company's business processes and is carried out within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation with the Public Organization "Public Movement "Social Unity".
– Our common goal is to contribute to the creation of equal conditions of access to goods and services for all citizens, regardless of any factors, because every Ukrainian, without exception, deserves equal and tolerant treatment. That's why we provide deaf people with free and modernized access to network services, – said Lesya Nikulina, head of the trade marketing department and curator of the Barrier-free Foxtrot project.
The service already works in 5 Foxtrot stores, where you can buy goods by communicating with store employees in sign language with the help of interpreters:

Special attention is also paid to the omnichannel component. To ensure free access of deaf people to receive professional advice and the ability to quickly and conveniently make purchases online, a specialized web widget "Vushko" (Connect Web) has been installed on the Foxtrot.ua website for simultaneous communication with the operator of the Foxtrot contact center and a sign language translator languages.
Since 2021, the Foxtrot network has been a member of the "Business Without Barriers" community, which united around the initiative of First Lady Elena Zelenskaya "Without Barriers", aimed at creating equal opportunities for all Ukrainians. The introduction of such modern digital services into the Foxtrot network plays an important role in supporting the National Strategy for the creation of a barrier-free space. What promotes and promotes the creation of a comfortable environment for people with different physical characteristics and draws the attention of the public to the barriers that people with different forms of disabilities in Ukraine face on a daily basis.
