F-support of indomitable animals: an updated mission to help four-legged animals has started

The retailer Foxtrot and the charity foundation Happy Paw have teamed up again in a social initiative to help animals. This time, the mission is sent to shelters from the frontline regions, where indomitable furry residents live

In May 2023, the omnichannel retailer Foxtrot together with the Happy Paw charity foundation announced the launch of an updated program to help homeless animals affected by Russia's full-scale war in Ukraine. The program is a continuation of the already well-known campaign "F-support for forcibly displaced animals".

But this year, the focus will be on raising funds for the organization of aid to shelters on the front line. In particular, benefactors will take care of little tails in shelters of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv and Mykolaiv regions.

Every quarter, the organizers determine one of the regions to accumulate funds for assistance, and every month – one shelter whose needs will be covered.

The collection started with the help of animal shelters in the Donetsk region, namely shelters in Sloviansk, Dobropil and Myrnograd. More than 730 cats and dogs are under the care of these shelters every day and, unfortunately, this number is increasing every day.

"We take an example from our soldiers, who not only protect us from the enemy, but also worry about homeless animals even on the front lines. Our long-term cooperation with the Happy Paw charitable foundation helps those who cannot take care of themselves – these are lonely dogs and cats. We are sure that it is worth continuing our joint charitable mission and providing support where it is most needed. We believe that every indomitable paw will feel the palm of F-support!", said the marketing director of Foxtrot Oleg Nikolskyi

Everyone can join the mission 2.0 – "F-support of indomitable animals". All funds collected (from April 30, 2024 to March 31, 2025) will be used to purchase medicine, feed, kennels, provide medical care, and provide other needs for tails in shelters in the frontline regions.

It should be noted that in the second year of the full-scale war, the retailer, together with the Ukrainians, successfully implemented the large-scale "F-support" program for forcibly displaced animals.

During the 16 months of 2022-23, 1.1 million hryvnias were collected and transferred to the needs of evacuees by the efforts of caring hearts. This made it possible to feed, cure and make happy 9,973 furry animals from 48 shelters in Donetsk region, Kherson region, Kharkiv region, Kyiv region, Cherkasy region, etc., for which almost 20 tons of food and 5,860 medical preparations were purchased.
