Foxy Merch continues to help: 50 children attended a series of art therapy classes

The Foxtrot company, together with buyers, provides support to the wards of SOS Children's Towns of Ukraine within the framework of the well-known charity event "Give Happiness of Good"

In May, 16 art therapy sessions were held for 50 children and their parents at the Family Strengthening Center in Kyiv with the assistance of the Foxtrot network and the involvement of buyers. The classes are organized as part of a charity sale of Foxtrot merchandise to support children affected by the war.

During the classes, children and parents learned to use effective relaxation techniques and mastered mindfulness techniques – the practice of being aware of the present moment, which helps to focus on the present experience, reducing stress and improving general well-being. With the help of creativity, they were able to relieve physical and emotional tension, improve their mood.

"In addition, such art-therapeutic child-parent group meetings are dedicated to strengthening family ties and understanding. This is an opportunity to be together, to strengthen, and sometimes to establish an emotional contact, to devote time to the ability to build a dialogue and interact. And this is also a good opportunity for parents to understand the peculiarities of interaction with children and to notice what is worth working on in relationships," says Tetyana Sidun, coordinator of the Family Strengthening Center.

Foxtrot adds that since the beginning of the charitable campaign "Give Happiness of Good" it has already been possible to reach 175 children and 30 parents with therapy.

"We are glad that our joint efforts with customers and partners allow us to provide the necessary support to children and their families during difficult times. Art therapy methods of work effectively help relieve psycho-emotional tension, fight anxiety and fears. This allows children and parents to feel a point of support and find strength for adaptation and further development," said Lesya Nikulina, head of Foxtrot's trade marketing department and project initiator.
