Hand over 25 – help the children! Foxtrot has joined “Coin for the children” action

Foxtrot brand has become the information partner of the charity action from the National Bank of Ukraine. They initiated collection of disused 25-coins in favor of children with cancer under guardianship of “Tabletochki” foundation. Foxtrot joined the coin collecting under the slogan “Hand over 25 – help the children”. From 1 to 30 September 2021, coins will be collected in Foxtrot group of companies offices. In addition, information campaign was launched about the opportunity to join the action among the Foxtrot clients and employees in Ukraine

25-coins were retired on October 1, 2021, and for almost a year you couldn’t pay with them in local stores. There is an opportunity to exchange the disused coins for banknotes in banks, but people are less eager to do this. It is estimated that Ukrainians hold 1.5 billion 25-coins. This is 400 million hryvnas. Since the moment when 25-coins ceased to be a means of payment, the National Bank withdrew only 83.8 million of such coins. This is 5% of the total number of coins that were in circulation. The rest remains in piggy banks, pockets, on shelves. But it is this money that can save the lives of children with cancer.

– This initiative is the example of how common efforts and reasonable utilization of disused coins will make them invaluable. They will become a real help for children with cancer, – noted Gennadii Vykhodtsev, Foxtrot co-founder. – I support Foxtrot in being an information partner of “Coins for children” action.

Coins raised during the action in Foxtrot will be delivered to the banks, which became partners of the action. Among them there are Oschadbank, Raiffeisen bank, PUMB, OTP bank, MTB and Industrial banks. After that, the amount of money equivalent to the previous coins value will be transferred to the “Tabletochki” foundation. A report on the amount collected with the help of Foxtrot will be posted in the corporate news feed of Foxtrot Group of companies for September.

“Tabletochki” is a charity foundation that has been helping children with cancer in Ukraine for 10 years. During this time, more than 5,000 families received targeted assistance. Foxtrot has been supporting the initiatives of the Tabletochki Foundation since 2015.
